Assess Your Eco Impact

Environmental meeting planning company Meeting Strategies Worldwide has launched a Web-based tool, the MeetGreen Calculator, which measures more than 95 aspects of a meeting, from site selection to food and beverage to assess an event's environmental impact. The calculator is based on the Convention Industry Council's Green Meeting Guidelines, which can be found at www.conventionindustry.org. The tool compares the user's event practices against the greenest alternative practices. One example: Instead of providing bottled water, the best practice would be to provide water in large containers and cups that are reusable. For more, visit www.meetgreen.com.
