In Savannah, Ga., the 126-room MANSION ON FORSYTH PARK, a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts, recently opened the POSEIDON SPA.
At THE ABBEY RESORT in Lake Geneva, Wis., a $40 million redevelopment was completed in May. The Abbey has refurbished its 35,000-square-foot FONTANA SPA. The Prairie-style architecture features soft natural colors and cherry-wood beams.
The 27,000-square-foot RELÂCHE SPA opened in July in Nashville, Tenn., at GAYLORD OPRYLAND.
THE SPA AT LE PARKER MÉRIDIEN PALM SPRINGS, in Palm Springs, Calif., is closed for a complete renovation this summer. The property was formerly the Givenchy Spa and Resort. Set on 14 acres, the resort has 10,500 square feet of indoor meeting space.
In the heart of red rock country, SEDONA ROUGE HOTEL AND SPA opened in June in Sedona, Ariz. The hotel has 77 guest accommodations, including four suites and seven spa rooms. Its 2,700 square feet of meeting and event space includes a 2,000-square-foot conference room and raised observation deck (with red-rock views) that can accommodate up to 50 people.
Scheduled for completion in December, the 26,000-square-foot spa at the WIGWAM GOLF RESORT & SPA in Phoenix will be managed by RED DOOR SPAS. Ten of the 16 treatment rooms will feature patios, and three will offer outdoor treatment areas.
The 42,000-square-foot GOLDEN DOOR SPA AT THE WYNDHAM PEAKS in Telluride, Colo., will be getting a $1.3 million facelift. Whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms, and treatment rooms will be upgraded by November. The spa offers more than 50 treatments — even for the dogs in the group. The DOGGIE SPA AT WYNDHAM PEAKS continues to cater to canine companions.
