KICKED UP A NOTCH: More Education at 2005 Motivation Show
THIS YEAR'S MOTIVATION SHOW, to be held September 27-29 at McCormick Place South in Chicago, has kicked its seminar and workshop program “up another level,” according to show spokesman Wayne Dunham, who says more than 50 different sessions are available. Show organizers have developed a program for experienced industry professionals as well as beginners, he says.
The show is also seeing attendance levels — particularly on the exhibitor side — approach pre-9/11 levels. This year, it will feature 2,400 exhibitors from 63 countries, with Cambodia making an appearance, and Indonesia and Jordan back for the first time since 2002.
The show will have a record number of exhibitors — more than 150 — taking part in its Innovative Products Gallery. “Considering that checking out new products is a prime motivation for coming to the show, there should be plenty to look at,” Dunham promises. “The mantra in the industry has always been that these [incentive] programs pay for themselves if they are done well. It seems as if people are starting to believe that again.”
The Motivation Show is expected to draw 10,000 attendees. Corporate Meetings & Incentives, along with its sister publications from Primedia Business Magazines & Media's Meetings Group, will be represented at Booth 810. CMI Editor Barbara Scofidio will take part in the panel discussion “Key Trends Driving Growth in the Meetings and Incentive Markets” on September 29 from 11 a.m. to noon.
