Branching Out
U.S meeting planners project a slight increase in the number of international meetings in 2005, according to MPI's FutureWatch survey. U.S. planners say 23 percent of all meetings will be held outside the United States this year, up from 22 percent in 2004 and 11 percent in 2003. Europe (6 percent), Canada (5 percent), Asia (3 percent), and Central America (3 percent) are the top international meeting destinations.
