The International Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus and the Convention Industry Council are conducting the Convention Expenditure & Impact Study, or ExPact. ExPact is designed to standardize event industry economic impact calculations and provide an up-dated measure of the impact of the convention and meeting industry. A total of 500 meetings, conventions, and trade shows will be surveyed to determine how much they spent in host cities.
