ACCME Expands Education and Training
The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education was busy last year expanding its educational outreach. Among new offerings are town-hall-style meetings, three “Bridge to Quality” workshops, and a series of four regional forums held in collaboration with ACCME-recognized state medical societies.
If you were unable to take advantage of these live sessions, ACCME now offers an online resource that could hold the answer to your accreditation questions. The Education and Training section of ACCME's Web site, at education.accme.org, includes video interviews in which CME leaders explain how they make CME a success for their organizations. It also offers brief video versions of FAQs covering everything from the 2006 accreditation criteria to the accreditation process itself. Also on the site is information about upcoming workshops and other events aimed at helping CME professionals satisfy accreditation requirements and elevate the role of CME in increasing the quality of healthcare.
