AMA All Atwitter
This spring the American Medical Association got on the social-networking bandwagon by launching a profile page on the networking site Twitter. Its very first post (called a “tweet” in Twitter jargon) announced the organization's new online e-prescribing learning center, designed to provide doctors with information about electronic prescribing. It can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/eprescribing.
The AMA plans to use Twitter to further its mission by uniting physicians to work on professional and public health issues.
