A member of the Leading Small Hotels of the World, Carlisle Bay resort on the south coast of Antigua offers 80 ocean-facing guest suites; several meeting venues, including the Carlisle room, which can accommodate 50 for a reception or 40 theater-style; and Blue Spa. At 17,000 square feet, the spa offers six treatment rooms. During certain months of the year, groups can rent Carlisle Bay in its entirety.

This coming February, Pacific Palms Conference Resort, Industry Hills, Calif., will open the new Spa at Pacific Palms as part of a $17 million refurbishment. The spa will have a “Meet and Treat” menu for fitness classes, health lectures, and treatments, designed with groups in mind.

The Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, will open in late 2007 in Barcelona, Spain. The hotel will occupy a mid-20th — century building, redeveloped to contain 144 large guest rooms (including 52 suites) and located on Paseo de Gracia, close to Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, will include private treatment rooms and water and heat therapies, and a rooftop pool deck will provide panoramic views of the city.
