The 18-Hole Prospector Golf Course, designed by Palmer Course Design Co., is part of Suncadia, a new 6,300-acre resort community in Roslyn, Wash., 80 miles from Seattle. The upcoming grand opening on September 9 of Rosen Shingle Creek is big news in Orlando. The 1,500 guest rooms and suites will feature 32-inch, flat-screen TVs with connectivity panels for laptop, iPod, and other devices. The TVs feature NXTV technology for setting up restaurant reservations, spa appointments, or tee times, as well as access the Internet to view meeting schedules. The technology also allows guests to use broadcast messaging if attending a convention, and for accessing an e-mail address issued during their stay. The resort's 250,000 square feet of meeting space includes a 95,000-square-foot, column-free ballroom. The 13,000-square-foot Spa at Shingle Creek will have nine treatment rooms. In Brewster, Mass., ClubCorp-managed Ocean Edge Resort & Club on Cape Cod is embarking on a complete redesign of its 18-hole PGA Championship golf course by the Nicklaus Design Group. The redesign will begin with the back nine, leaving the front nine playable until it's their turn. www.oceanedge.com

The 330-room Celtic Manor Resort, 90 minutes from London and 30 minutes from Cardiff, Wales, well known for its three championship parkland golf courses, has been awarded a 5-Wave grading (equivalent to a five-star rating for a hotel) from the British International Spa Association for its Forum Spa. The Forum Spa has 16 treatment rooms. A satellite spa, The Clarins Health Spa, opened in January in the two-story lodge clubhouse with six treatment rooms. The resort's conference center has 24 meeting rooms accommodating from 10 to 170 people, as well as the Caernarfon Suite, which can accommodate 1,500. www.celtic-manor.com
