Bloomington Adds Aquarium

The largest enclosed shopping and entertainment complex in America has become a destination in its own right. The Mall of America in Bloomington, MN has recently added UnderWater World, a 1.2-million-gallon interactive, multisensory aquarium and marine science center featuring more than 8,000 fish. Opened in mid-June, the 70,000-square-foot attraction simulates a deep-sea dive by submerging guests on a moving walkway through a 300-foot-long underwater acrylic tunnel.

UnderWater World is expected to attract two million visitors during its first year of operation, but there are many possibilities for group special events at the facility.

Located just a five-minute drive from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, Bloomington offers 6,500 hotel rooms throughout the city in 28 hotels and motels.
