Industry Remembers Children of 9/11
Lynn Pescherine, convention sales manager at the Hilton New York, lost her husband Michael in the September 11 attacks. Lynn gave birth to a baby boy on February 3, named Ryan Michael.
HelmsBriscoe, a site selection company, which collects donations for a charity each year at its Annual Business Conference, selected Ryan as the recipient of this year's fund with a contribution toward his future educational needs. At the Professional Convention Management Association annual meeting in Nashville, Lynn's unborn child was one of three dependents of 9/11 victims to receive a scholarship through the Youth Education Fund.
