NEW STANDARDS IN MARCH?
At its November meeting, the Accreditation Council for CME did not approve the latest version of the revised Standards for Commercial Support. The initial draft for the revised Standards was released in January 2003; the new version was based on comments received about that draft. ACCME board members had until December 15 to submit their comments on the latest draft; parent organizations had until January 12, 2004. The ACCME plans to have a new document ready for approval at its March 2004 Council meeting.
