The Peabody Orlando offers premium meeting and breakout space, luxurious guest rooms, excellent service, and direct access to the Orange County Convention Center. Scheduled for a mid-1999 launch, the hotel's expansion plans include the addition of at least 750 guest rooms and 75,000 square feet of meeting space.
Location/Access: The Peabody Orlando is directly across the street from the 1.5-million-square-foot (soon to be 2.5-million) Orange County Convention Center. The hotel is 15 minutes from Walt Disney World and 10 minutes from downtown Orlando. The Orlando International Airport is a 15-minute drive from the hotel.
Accommodations: The Peabody Orlando's 891 guest rooms include 58 suites. Rack room rates range from $300 to $390 for deluxe rooms, and $495 to $1,450 for suites. Value months in 1999 are May to September, and December.
Recreation: The Athletic Club features 17 Nautilus stations, free weights, aerobic classes, fitness training, Jacuzzi, saunas, steam rooms, and massage therapy. The hotel also has a nearly Olympic-length lap pool, a children's pool with waterfall, four lighted tennis courts, a game room, baby- sitting services, and Captain's Choice Golf Services, a golf package service.
Dining and Entertainment: Dux, the hotel's signature dining room, is the only Mobil Four-Star restaurant in Orlando. Capriccio features Northern Italian cuisine, and the B-Line Diner is a 24-hour eatery. All three are located on the lobby level.
Meeting Facilities and Services: Some 57,000 square feet of space includes 32 meeting rooms, three ballrooms encompassing 44,054 square feet of space, and two smaller rooms on the convention level. On the mezzanine are 16 meeting rooms with breakout areas. The largest ballroom can accommodate 3,000 people theater-style. The grand ballroom has nearly 27,000 square feet of space available for exhibits.
