PGI, an Arlington, VA­p;based global events, entertainment, exhibitions, and business communications company, purchased Regency Productions, an event production and entertainment marketing subsidiary of Hyatt Corporation.
Darryl Hartley-Leonard, who recently retired as chairman of the board of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, will also serve as vice chairman of Regency Productions and has been appointed vice chairman of PGI, according to Mark Sirangelo, chairman and chief executive officer of PGI. Regency Productions/PGI will specialize in entertainment marketing and event production. PGI owns Safaris and several other destination management companies, as well as a trade show division.
