Planners Speak Their Minds at HSMAI Boston Forum
Norman Shostak, director of management & fiscal affairs at Harvard Medical School — CME, was one of eight meeting niche specialists who came to a half-day educational forum in June put on by MM publisher Primedia Business Meetings Group and other trade press for the New England Chapter of the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International. About 80 hoteliers attended the program at the Omni Parker House in Boston to hear meeting professionals in various industries talk about current issues and trends in their market segments. In addition to Shostak, representing the medical segment were Nancy Goldie, president of Goldie Communications and Conference Planning Group, Framingham, Mass.; and Jennifer Goodwin, president of the Goodwin Group, Jamaica Plain, Mass.
