Turtle Bay Resort
TALK ABOUT A room with a view.
Perched at the northern tip of Oahu on Kuilima Point, the Turtle Bay Resort offers views of some of the most spectacular surf in the world from every one of its 443 rooms, suites, and cottages.
With a new 9,000-square-foot ballroom built just over a year ago as part of a $60 million renovation project, Turtle Bay is making a splash as a destination for not just leisure travelers, but incentive and meeting groups, too.
Just a few miles from legendary North Shore surf spots, Turtle Bay is far removed from the bustle of Waikiki Beach, which is about an hour's drive away.
Managed by Benchmark Hospitality, the property has 443 rooms, including 26 suites and 42 beach cottages (with butler service). All rooms come with lanais and, depending on the room, guests can either watch the sun rise or set over the ocean from their porch. The “sunset” side has views of Turtle Bay, while the “sunrise” side overlooks the calmer waters that roll into the resort's own swimming beach in Kuilima Cove.
The meetings area, which is set off in its own wing, includes 31,000 square feet of meeting space, eight meeting rooms, two 9,000-square-foot ballrooms with breakout rooms, and a business center. The most stunning space is the Sunset Room, a 512-square-foot function room that seats up to 250 and presents panoramic views of the ocean. It's as close as you can get to the surfers in Turtle Bay without hanging 10 yourself. The 1,000-square-foot pavilion on the oceanfront lawn is a dramatic setting for outdoor functions.
The 880-acre property has five miles of beachfront and boasts a variety of amenities, including two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by Arnold Palmer and George Fazio. Guests can relax and rejuvenate at the 7,000-square-foot Spa Launa.
In addition, the resort has three restaurants and a poolside bar and grill. Or guests can enjoy drinks on the beach while watching for honu — or swimming turtles. After all, it is Turtle Bay.
