Tamar Hosansky has been covering the medical meetings and continuing medical education (CME) industry since 1996, when she joined Medical Meetings magazine as associate editor. She was named editor in 1999. The American Society of Association Executives included her articles about the precedent-setting pedicle screw case in an informational packet for congressional representatives to support legislation that would protect CME in 1998. In 2001, she was nominated for the American Medical Association Task Force on CME Provider/Industry Collaboration, and in 2003 she received a Recognition Award for increasing the North American Association of Medical Education and Communication Companies’ visibility in Medical Meetings magazine. Her editorials in Medical Meetings won an award in 2000 from the American Society of Business Publication Editors; under her editorial direction MM staff writers have also received numerous journalism awards.
A professional writer for more than 20 years, Hosansky has written articles for national publications on a variety of topics, including healthcare. She has also co-authored two books: Working Vice, a biography of a female police officer; and Your Children Should Know, a child abuse prevention guide, both published by HarperCollins.

Sue, who has been with The Meetings Group since 1998, previously wrote for and edited several national and international trade magazines and newsletters for the environmental industry. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder, she also helped to plan a technical trade conference and exposition and several smaller meetings for the environmental industry, before deciding to stick with what she does best. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband and her surrogate children, two Australian Shepherd dogs.

Betsy is editorial director of The Meetings Group, Primedia Business, based in Stow, Mass. The Meetings Group publishes Association Meetings, Corporate Meetings & Incentives, Medical Meetings, Insurance Conference Planner, Religious Conference Manager, and a weekly e-newsletter, MeetingsNet Extra. Betsy has served as editorial director of these market-specific magazines since the early 1990s. She has also served in staff writing positions for Travel Agent magazine and Travel Management Daily.
