CCMEP Practice Exam Now Available Online
The National Commission for Certification of CME Professionals (NC-CME) has posted an online practice test for the Certified CME Professional (CCMEP) certification exam. The 45 newly developed test items were developed in response to requests made by candidates preparing for the CCMEP Certification Exam. They are for practice only and are not required for certification. The test also can be used by CME professionals wanting to assess their competence in various areas and to identify areas where they may want to increase their skills and knowledge.
Practice test items, which were written, critiqued, and beta-tested by more than 50 volunteers who have earned the CCMEP credential, are accompanied by a graph that allows participants to compare their responses with other test takers. According to NC-CME, the items were designed to represent "what we need to know" as CME professionals across the broad spectrum of the CME enterprise, and are not an exact simulation of the actual certification exam. The practice exam, which is available 24/7, costs $45, which can be paid by credit card. Free online resources already available at nc-cme.org include the “Candidates Handbook,” a brief tutorial on the software that candidates will use for the CCMEP exam, and five sample test items.
To take the NC-CME practice exam, go to “Take the Practice Exam” on the NC-CME site. After registering, test takers receive an ID and password that can be used to take the test immediately or any time within the next month.
