ADA Hires New ED, Pharma CME Pro Joins Provider
After an 11-month search, the American Dental Association, Chicago, hired Kathleen O’Loughlin, DMD, as its new executive director and chief operating officer. She becomes the first female executive director in ADA’s 150-year history.
O’Loughlin, who starts June 1, joins from United Healthcare, where she was chief dental officer. From 2002 to 2007 O’Loughlin was president and chief executive officer at Delta Dental of Massachusetts.
O’Loughlin replaces James Bramson as executive director and Mary Logan as chief operating officer, who both left the association in April 2008.
Another person on the move is Steve Davidson, RPh, who was hired as a medical education specialist at CME Enterprise, a Carmel, Ind.–based accredited continuing medical education provider. Previously, he worked at Eli Lilly and Co., where he led the Office of CME and established the first firewall between Lilly’s educational and marketing divisions.
