CIC Announces Four to Join Hall of Leaders in 2011
Fay Beauchine, president, engagement and events, Carlson Marketing, is among four leaders who will be inducted into the Convention Industry Council’s Hall of Leaders in 2011 in recognition of outstanding contributions to the meetings, conventions, exhibitions, and travel industries.
Beauchine, who was nominated by Site, will be honored alongside Sandy Angus, chairman, Montgomery Worldwide, a holding company with multiple interests in exhibition and business event production (nominated by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events); Christian Mutschlechner, director, Vienna Convention Bureau (nominated by the International Congress and Convention Association); and Cliff Wallace, managing director, Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (nominated by the International Association of Assembly Managers).
The Hall of Leaders, recognizing an elite group of leaders whose initiatives and energy have shaped the industry, began in 1985. It will include 106 people after the induction ceremony at the 2011 Hall of Leaders Gala in Baltimore next June, which will be held in conjunction with AIBTM.
