East, West Airports Add Registered Traveler

Three more airports have jumped aboard the Registered Traveler bandwagon.

Reagan National, Washington Dulles, and Oakland International airports are the newest airports with RT services, which will be offered by Verified Identity Pass Inc.

Oakland International will set up enrollment stations at its terminals next month, with the opening of RT lanes to follow. Verified, whose RT program is called Clear, has enrollment stations already operating in Washington—at the American Express Travel Office at 15th and K Streets and in the Congressional Federal Credit Union in the Longworth House Office Building—and expects to have RT lanes in operation at the two Washington airports within weeks.

RT security lanes are now up and running at airports in Albany, N.Y.; Cincinnati; Indianapolis; Little Rock, Ark.; Orlando; Reno, Nev.; San Francisco; San Jose, Calif.; Westchester County, N.Y.; and Huntsville, Ala., and at select lanes at Newark (N.J.) International and New York’s LaGuardia and JFK airports. Lanes are scheduled to open later this month at Denver International Airport.

Verified has also announced it has reached an agreement with MasterCard Worldwide to promote the service as a cardholder benefit on U.S.-issued MasterCard cards. U.S. banks issuing credit cards that elect this benefit will be able to offer preferred pricing on Clear’s annual membership for their MasterCard cardholders.

In related news, RT provider FLO Corp. has inked a deal with Hilton HHonors Worldwide, allowing members of the loyalty program to redeem their HHonors points for an annual membership to the FLO Registered Traveler program.
