Ethics on the Agenda
Ethics will be on the agenda at the MeetNow! 2007 Joint Educational Conference of the WestFieldand Connecticut River Valley Chapters of Meeting Professionals International, to be held February 22-23 at the Omni New Haven Hotel in New Haven, Conn.. A panel of industry experts—Barb Taylor Carpender, CMM; Bruce Harris, CMP; Marta Hayden, CMP; Carol Krugman, CMP, CMM; Kitty Ratcliffe; and Greg Talley, CAE—will lead a Socratic-method discussion that “aims to sharpen moral reasoning without favoring a particular position by exploring ethical dilemmas in the meetings and event industry,” according to a press release.
The session, which is funded by the MPI Foundation, is designed to follow the model of Columbia University’s video series that aired on PBS, “Seminars on Media and Society.” For more information, visit www.mpiwc.org.
