ACCME Releases Draft Policy On Internet CME; Sept. 30 Deadline For Comments

The ACCME's Task Force on Adapting ACCME to the Internet has presented a series of draft policy statements that would be applicable to CME delivered via the Internet by accredited providers. These draft policy statements have been disseminated as an insert to the latest ACCME newsletter to all ACCME accredited providers, recognized state medical societies and other interested parties for comment and input.

It is the intention of the Task Force to forward final policy statements, incorporating any comments received, to the Council for review and action at its November 2001 meeting. The complete text of the "Call for Comment," as well as the draft policy statements have been posted to the web site. See "Other Resources" under the "Documents and Forms" section. Comment/input on the draft policy statements must be received by September 30, 2001 and must be submitted in writing, either via mail (ACCME, Suite 2150, 515 N. State Street, Chicago IL 60010), fax (312) 464-2586), or email (Internet@accme.org). For clarification or questions, please call the ACCME at 312/464-2500. (Internet@accme.org).
