AMA OMSS To Hold Educational Program On Bioterrorism
The AMA-Organized Medical Staff Section (OMSS) is inviting medical staff members to an educational program on bioterrorism. The program will be held at the OMSS Assembly Meeting immediately preceding the AMA Interim Meeting in San Francisco.
Tara O'Toole, MD, MPH, from the Center for Civilian Biodefense at Johns Hopkins University, will present "Bioterrorism: Preparing for and Responding to Attack" on Nov. 29. The program will focus on the signs and symptoms of a bioterrorist attack, immediate response strategies, the role and responsibilities of the medical staff and hospital, and how to develop a local readiness plan.
The program is open to physicians, health care leaders, and medical staff services professionals who would be at the meeting as guests of OMSS representatives. Any medical staff, group practice, or other physician organization may select one physician OMSS representative.
The Interim Meeting takes place November 29 to Decmeber 2 at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco.
