American Psychiatric Association To Hold 2002 Annual Meeting In Philadelphia

More than 1,000 clinical papers, symposia, new research poster sessions and workshops will be presented at the 155th Annual Meeting of the American Psychiatric Association-the world's largest psychiatric conference-being held May 18-23 in Philadelphia. Topics include:

New research findings on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Clinical Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, psychiatric aspects of HIV/AIDS, other illnesses

Special sessions on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other psychiatric consequences of the September 11 attack and subsequent bio-terrorism.

Comprehensive research track presented by the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, including new research on addiction treatments.

New findings on youth suicide, neurochemistry of Borderline Personality Disorder, brain stimulation techniques, club drugs, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
