CME To Be Part Of On-Line Clinical Trials Service Package

RxCentric Inc, which specializes in Internet marketing for the pharmaceutical industry, and The HealthExchange, an Internet company that recruits participants and principal investigators into clinical trials, have entered into a partnership that will increase physician awareness of clinical trials, give physicians access to information on principal investigator opportunities, and provide free educational materials, including continuing medical education (CME) programs for clinical trial investigators.

The partnership will provide RxCentric's online communities of 25,000 physician members access to thehealthexchange.org's database of clinical trials and opportunities to participate as clinical trial investigators. Physicians will also be able to recruit and place their patients into clinical trials.

``Our discussions with leading pharmaceutical companies throughout the country clearly indicates that the need for clinical trials investigators is rapidly growing,'' said Victor Imbimbo, co-founder and chief executive officer of The HealthExchange. ``RxCentric's proven ability to amass a captive audience of physicians that is truly representative of the U. S. population of prescribing physicians, provides us an ideal partner to help grow the ranks of qualified, clinical trials investigators.''

RxCentric, which links physicians' drug information and educational needs with online pharmaceutical product-marketing capability, provides physicians with information in seven medical specialties through its free, physician-only Internet Service Provider, Doctors Net Access (DNA): Allergy, Cardiology, Neurology, Oncology/Hematology, Primary Care, Pulmonary Medicine and Urology.

Through the medical specialty channels, RxCentric gives physicians access to peer reviewed medical information, as well as resources for such personal interests as news, finance, sports and leisure. Physician users can also access RxCentric's leading drug information databases, with information provided by Facts and Comparisons.

Partnering with pharmaceutical companies, RxCentric also offers physician users access to a variety of pharmaceutical company-sponsored information and services through RxCentric's suite of online products, including online detailing and sampling, continuing medical education, online events and more, all within the DNA home environment.

RxCentric is a privately held company with locations in New York, Morristown NJ, Philadelphia, Chicago and San Diego.

The HealthExchange is a private company specializing in online patient and investigator recruitment for clinical trials. The HealthExchange is headquartered in Stamford, CT. Its technology office is located in Philadelphia, PA.
