Docs Pick Favorite Meeting Venues
As usual, California and Florida remain the top domestic conference destination choices for physicians attending CME conferences, according to Medical Meetings’ 10th annual physician preferences and CME survey. What is interesting is the stronger-than-usual, third-place finish of New York as a preferred domestic destination. It is impossible to know whether this represents a sympathy vote for the city that suffered by far the greatest losses in the 9/11 attacks or whether it has simply been a result of the amount of media exposure New York City received in the past 12 months.
After absences last year, Hawaii, Texas, and Louisiana are back in the top 10. Other top 10 finishers include North Carolina, South Carolina, and Washington State.
As for international destinations, top choices are Canada, Mexico, Italy, Germany, France, England, and Spain.
More survey results will appear in the January/February issue of Medical Meetings.
