Former Merck Marketer Joins Medical Education Company
M2 Communications, a developer of medical education programs for the healthcare industry, has announced that Joyce Pei, Pharm.D., M.B.A., has joined the firm as Vice President Medical Affairs and Operations. Pei will be responsible for leading the operations and medical affairs teams.

Joyce's scientific and marketing background and in-depth experience in global pharmaceutical marketing make her well suited for the role."
Pei's career in the healthcare industry spans more than two decades. Prior to joining M2 Communications, Pei was Senior Director, Global Strategic Marketing at Merck & Co. In this position, she led the global marketing team for Crixivan, a $600 million brand. Pei also directed the Global Brand Team, which was responsible for branding, strategic positioning and planning, pricing strategies and execution of global communication strategies. Before joining Merck, Pei served as Global Business Leader, Global Strategic Marketing at Hoffman La-Roche, Inc. While in this role, Pei was responsible for leading global business and global branding teams. Pei has also held various positions of increasing responsibility, including Associate Director, Strategic Product Planning; Product Manager, Medical Affairs; Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist; and Clinical Research Scientist, at Bristol Myers Squibb. Pei began her career at Warner Lambert Co. (now Pfizer) where she was responsible for project management.
Pei holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and strategic planning and a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from Rutgers University. Pei is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research, the Drug Information Association and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
