The Royal College of Nursing, UK and the Irish Nursing Organisation will host the inaugural conference of the International Network of Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Practice Nurses, August 5 to 7 2001 at the Grand Hotel, Malahide, Co. Dublin. Titled “New Shores, New Horizions,” this conference is a world-wide effort in collaboration with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses' Association, the National Organisation of Nurse Practitioner Faculties USA, the University of Colorado, the Royal College of Nursing, Australia, the New Zealand Nurses' Organisation and numerous other professional nursing organisations around the world.

Delegates will be able to share information about practice, education, role development, research, policy and regulatory development. It will be a forum for sharing and exchanging knowledge, expertise and experience. Nurses new to this area of advanced nursing will find support from colleagues whilst they are in the process of developing their roles and practice. Delegates will also have the advantage of accessing resources that are pertinent to this field.
