Notable Meeting: Women’s Health And Gender-Based Medicine To Feature “Lobby Day”
For its ninth annual meeting, to be held in Washington, D.C. June 2-5, the Conference on Women’s Health and Gender-Based Medicine is introducing a new wrinkle. On the fourth and final day of the conference, attendees will be able to participate in a luncheon workshop entitled “How to Lobby Effectively on Capitol Hill for Women’s Health Research.” Following the workshop, the conference organizers will arrange appointments for attendees to visit their congressperson’s office on Capitol Hill, where they’ll be able to try out their newly learned lobbying skills. Participation in the workshop requires advance registration. The conference is jointly sponsored by the University of South Florida College of Medicine and the Journal of Women's Health & Gender-Based Medicine. The journal is published by Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., which also owns the company handling conference management for this meeting, BioConferences International, Inc.
