MPI-CAC to Host Women’s Leadership Conference

Meeting Professionals International Chicago Area Chapter is holding a daylong conference dedicated to addressing issues facing female leaders. The 2007 MPI-CAC Women's Leadership Conference—geared toward full- and part-time meeting planners, business owners, association executives, and meetings industry suppliers—will take place November 13 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill.

Breakout session are focused on personal and leadership topics:

  • Strategies for earning more and managing your finances with Julia Auburg, first vice president–investments, UBS Financial Services
  • Professional success strategies, led by Karen Malone, vice president meeting services, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society
  • Ways to give back to your community with the WMBA’s Margaret Stender, general manager of the Chicago Sky basketball team
  • Work-life balance, with Susan Morris, principal, The New Height Group

Attendees will also hear from a panel of past MPI chairwomen, who will share their leadership strategies as well as success stories from their personal and professional lives. In addition, “The Connection Place,” an exhibit area featuring women-focused products and services, will be a new addition to this year’s event.

The cost is $199 for MPI members, $235 for nonmembers, with early-bird discounts available through November 7. Discounts for students are also available. Attendance can count toward continuing education credits. Click here for registration details.
