Two hotel construction projects—the Westin Snowmass Resort and the Wildwood Snowmass hotel—are expected to be completed and ready for a grand opening on November 15, 2012.
The 254-room, 17-suite Westin Snowmass Resort, formerly The Silvertree, will feature the new 237-seat Snowmass Kitchen for all-day dining with easy ski-in/ski-out access. The resort also will include a spa and a new WestinWORKOUT® fitness center that will overlook Snowmass Village. The resort’s upper pool will be redeveloped into a landscaped space suited for outdoor events.
Adjacent to the Westin is the new Wildwood Snowmass, formerly the Wildwood Lodge, featuring 153 completely renovated rooms, including six themed suites. It will include a new 90-seat restaurant and the brewing-themed New Belgium Bar, a with an eclectic menu and a hip, fun atmosphere.
While the hotels are still being worked on, renovations to the new Westin Snowmass Conference Center were completed in June. The conference center offers 18,100 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space that can accommodate up to 1,200 people. Upgrades include a new lighting system, carpeting, wall coverings, audiovisual system, exterior paint, new ceiling tile and signage, and refinished restrooms.
