Carina Bauer, formerly marketing and operations director for IMEX Frankfurt, has been promoted to CEO, IMEX Group, based in East Sussex, U.K. “It’s a recognition of the fact that I and other members of the team are working across both shows now—IMEX America and IMEX Frankfurt,” Bauer says. “My role is quite varied. I am working on all aspects of the shows, overseeing operations and overseeing marketing at the moment.”

A search is under way to fill the marketing director position left vacant by Bauer’s promotion.

A new office for IMEX America will open in February in Chicago, led by Kimberly Meyer, president. The inaugural IMEX America show takes place October 11 to 13, 2011, in Las Vegas.
