For meeting planners whose attendees trend toward trendiness, TripAdvisor has come out with a list of the world’s 10 hippest hotels, based on traveler popularity and the site’s editors. The top five were:

Hotel Gansevoort, New York, which was noted for its views, exterior, and coolness as a night spot.

Sanderson London Hotel and Spa, London, England, for being, as one TripAdvisor reviewer called it, "one big art piece."

The Hotel at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, for its earthy "sexiness."

Hotel St. Paul, Montreal, which boasts a minimalist, yet cozy, design.

Claris Hotel, Barcelona, Spain, for offering both high design and high comfort levels.
