The lobby will be redesigned to include a new open-air reception area that will vastly improve the sense of arrival with views to the ocean. The first phase of the guestroom renovations is the upgrade of 120 rooms, to the deluxe category. The second phase will encompass a soft goods renovation to the remaining 240 rooms. Tabachin, the resort's signature international restaurant, will be completely renovated to include an outdoor patio for al fresco dining. A new indoor/outdoor bar, the Bar Pierre & Lounge, will open, offering an upscale, intimate lounging area overlooking Revolcadero Beach. The ballroom "Conquistadores" will be modernized as well, providing updated function space accommodating a total of 450 people. At the Fairmont Acapulco Princess, a $3 million full-service spa will open later this year. The 14,000- square-foot spa facility will contain treatment rooms, a beauty salon, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and Swiss showers. A newly opened 4,000 square-foot fitness facility features state-of-the-art Keiser equipment.
