The question of how to hold an environmentally friendly meeting or trade show is one that more and more planners are grappling with. For answers, they can now turn to a just-released report from the Convention Industry Council
The report is the result of the work of the CIC Green Meetings Task Force, comprising individuals from the Environmental Protection Agency, the World Travel Organization, the Oceans Blue Foundation, the Society of Incentive Travel Executives' Green Meeting Group, as well as hotels, CVBs, and meeting planners.
The group came up with a set of best practices that the industry can use as guidelines for implementing policies of sustainability. For the complete report, click here.
