Diversity Partnership
The first product of the Multicultural Education Program — a joint effort of Meeting Professionals International and the Professional Convention Management Association — will be a toolkit to help the organizations' chapters promote diversity and reach untapped markets.
The toolkit is expected to be delivered at PCMA's 2005 Annual Meeting, January 9-12 in Honolulu, and MPI's Professional Education Conference-North America, January 23-25 in San Diego.
The goals of the multicultural program are also to provide scholarships, develop joint educational programs, and create leadership opportunities focusing on the African-American, Latino, Asian, and American Indian markets in the meeting industry.
