Groople/Travelocity deal
Groople.com, an online group booking engine launched in July 2004, has announced a deal that will put its group-booking functionality on the main hotel page at Travelocity, one of the Internet's major travel sites. Anyone looking for five rooms or more will click through to Groople's planning features and group rate discounts. While Groople targets the leisure market, it can be used for small business meetings as well. Among Groople's features: automated rooming lists that consumers complete themselves and the ability for each room to be paid for on a separate credit card.
