Social Security will soon be completely transformed, and the financial services industry will play a major role in the process. So says William Shipman, chairman of CarriageOaks Partners LLC, a Massachusetts-based consulting firm specializing in retirement finance, and speaker at ICPA’s Educational Forum July 22 to 24 at the Park Hyatt in Washington, D.C.

ICPA, an association of insurance and financial services conference planners, has an intense learning agenda scheduled for the forum, which is restricted to a planner-only attendance of 60. Additional speakers include Laurie Fitzgerald, meetings manager for Allstate Financial, on "The Ins and Outs of Planning International Events;" The Convention Industry Council’s Julie Jones on the latest news from CIC’s Project Attrition; and Barbara Talbot, executive vice president marketing for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, on how planners can prove their worth to upper management. There will also be interactive roundtable discussions on various hot topics and several networking events.

The fee is $275 for ICPA planner members and $325 for nonmember planners. For more information and online registration, go to ICPA's Web site.
