A changing corporate landscape is challenging planners in the insurance and financial services industry like never before. In response, ICPA, an association of insurance and financial services conference planners, is offering industry-specific educational sessions at its upcoming annual meeting November 14 to 18 at the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa in Maui.
A session on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, for example, will explain what this new legislation will mean to industry planners. In a workshop onnegotiations, the retired counsel for State Farm will share win-win tactics. Other workshops on ICPA’s content-rich agenda explore how insurance and financial services planners can prove the value of their departments and how they can efficiently manage without being outsourced themselves.
Registration is open for planners only, but you do not have to be an ICPA member to attend. To register, and for more information, go to www.icpanet.com and click on the annual meeting logo at the top right.
