Never before has the industry seen so many mergers and partnerships, especially of DMCs. Two recent annoucements involve major players in the incentive field.

First, Navigant International Inc. announced it has integrated and renamed two of its business groups, Cornerstone Enterprises, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary, and Navigant Meeting Services (NMS), into Navigant Performance Group. This will create a unified brand for all Navigant International's meeting, incentive, event, and recognition services. Jonathan Danforth, president of Cornerstone, is the new president of Navigant Performance Group.

On the DMC side, U.S., Mexico, and Costa Rica will now now represented by the joint efforts of PRA Destination Management and Mexico’s IVI Destination Management. “We are frequently asked to assist our clients in finding DMCs outside the U.S.,” says Laura Rednour, President of PRA Destination Management. “Our partnership with IVI is designed to give our clients comfort and confidence in their selection process and to find the right DMC for their programs operating in Mexico or Costa Rica.” Founded in 1986, IVI Destination Management operates programs throughout Mexico, with offices in Acapulco, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and Los Cabos, as well as Costa Rica.
