On September 24 at 2 p.m., Meeting Professionals International will hold a 90-minute virtual session on culturally diverse meetings. Panelists Hattie Hill, CEO, Hattie Hill Enterprises Inc. and founding chairwoman of MPI’s Multicultural Initiative; Joan Eisenstodt, president, Eisenstodt Associates; and Paul Flackett, CITE, managing director of U.K.-based pf.redseven, will discuss practical strategies for planning, implementing, and servicing multicultural meetings, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session.

Recent data collected by MPI’s Multicultural Initiative predict a 20 percent annual increase in the number of culturally diverse meetings worldwide. The MPI session, It’s All About Business, is designed to arm meeting planners and suppliers with tools and tactics to move forward with effective meetings in this increasingly diverse environment.

The session, which will use both a phone link and an Internet site, costs $149 for MPI members and $199 for nonmembers. Online registration is available at MPI’s Web site. A full research report on MPI’s Multicultural Initiative can be downloaded at http://www.multicultural.mpiweb.org.
