Registration Up at TSEA Show—So Far Many expositions are grappling with flat or declining attendance, but the Trade Show Industry Association, Chicago, Ill., is anticipating a strong turnout at its annual Trade Show about Trade Shows, to be held July 22 to 25, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Registration for the event is up 20 percent over last year’s figures at this time the show, according to a TSEA press release today.

"We know that this is a telling year for all show organizers, and what we’re seeing is good news for our exhibitors, says Michael J. Bandy, TSEA president. "Registrations are coming in from a host of decision-makers. And that bodes well for getting a high-quality audience, with overall attendance at or above that of last year."

This year’s show at McCormick Place is the first year of a permanent rotation pattern between Chicago and Washington, D.C. The two-city schedule is already generating positive results from exhibitors, says Bandy.
