Unique Venues, a marketing company that promotes nontraditional meeting and special event sites, such as university conference centers, is organizing its first international meeting. The International Summit of Collegiate Conference and Events Associations from North America and the United Kingdom is scheduled for November 1 to 2 at Oxford University in Oxford, England.
Associations that are participating in the event include the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors International, the Canadian University and College Conference Officers Association, and two organizations based in the United Kingdom: University Hospitality Services and Venuemasters.
The purpose of the meeting is to explore opportunities for collaboration among the organizations, such as sharing of member services and benefits. In addition, attendees will discuss collaborative ventures to improve the industry's visibility and professionalism.
