World Genomics Symposium and Exposition Announces Call for Speakers
Unicomm, LLC, a Milford, Conn.-based independent firm that develops and manaages trade shows and conferences, today announced the World Genomics Symposium and Exposition's call for speakers. Held from September 18-20, 2002 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the World Genomics Symposium and Exposition bills itself as the first and only industry event focused entirely on the field of genomics. The Atlantic City Convention Center conference site strategically places World Genomics at the center of the Northeast Biotech Corridor.
Committed to providing a forum for genomics industry luminaries to introduce technology, articulate new policies and address additional topics impacting all genomics market participants, World Genomics is formally accepting speaker submissions. Complementing a forthcoming list of handpicked speakers, World Genomics will be accepting and reviewing submissions for presentation topics that will provide thoughtful insight into the transformation of life sciences in the new millennium. World Genomics is developing keynotes and engaging panel discussions across the following five key tracks:
-- Genomics
-- Proteomics
-- Digital Labs & Informatics
-- Genomics Business & Funding Issues
-- Pharmaco-Genomics
The conference speakers will be expected to address the varied needs and concerns of researchers, management, academia and government personnel. Other focused sessions will include stem cell research, informatics, bioethics, case studies and other important genomics issues. World Genomics is also accepting speakers for in-depth tutorials, courses, and seminars designed to help develop and implement comprehensive strategies, research, and business models.
``The genomics market has a direct and influential impact on drug discovery and eventually healthcare, making it one of the most important issues of our time,'' said Jill Birkett, show manager of World Genomics for Unicomm. ``World Genomics is committed to gathering leaders representing all key genomics issues to create an informative and collaborative forum to enable researchers, vendors, academics and federal experts to share ideas and create the building blocks for the future.''
Norien Hutchinson, conference organizer for World Genomics Symposium and Exposition, will be managing the call for speakers process. All abstracts and speaker submissions should be received via electronic submission by February 25, 2002 at nhutchinson@unicomm.org or click here for the conference website.
