The National Business Travel Association is looking for seasoned industry leaders in strategic meetings management to join its Groups and Meetings Committee.
NBTA seeks meeting managers and suppliers who are involved in the day-to-day management and operations of strategic meetings management programs to join its Groups and Meetings Committee. Committee members need to be seen as thought leaders in the industry and in SMMP.
The term is for two years. If an individual is appointed to the committee, he or she must become a member of NBTA.
The committee recently launched a certification for SMM, does yearly white papers on different aspects of SMM, and creates articles and seminars on the topic. “This is an especially exciting year for us as we work on sessions for the NBTA annual convention focused on SMMP 101 and tools for SMMP, Global and Small Meetings,” says Vice-Chair Linda McNairy, who is vice president, business development, at StarCite.
