Patti Roscoe, Chairman of PRA Destination Management, San Diego, has been recognized as one of Working Woman magazine’s top 500 female entrepreneurs for 2001. Representing combined revenues of US$96.4 billion, Working Woman 500 recognizes women-owned businesses ranging in annual revenues from $11 billion to $20 million. The latest U.S. census found that women-owned companies are growing faster than all U.S. businesses by a ratio of three to one. This year’s 500 increased its total revenue nearly 10 percent over last year (US$88 billion) and the complete list will be available in the June 2001 issue of Working Woman Magazine. "It is a great honor to be included in such a prestigious list of business owners," says Roscoe. We are celebrating 20 years in business in 2001 and this is a great way to for everyone at PRA Destination Management to celebrate our success and remain very positive about our future." Roscoe founded Patti Roscoe & Associates in 1981 and is the owner and operator of four of PRA Destination Management offices in California. In 1998, PRA began its franchise operation and has since expanded to 10 offices throughout the U.S. She was recently named to MPI’s Women’s Leadership Initiative Committee, an industry-specific project focusing on research, program development, and outreach efforts to help women advance their careers. As well, Roscoe has been instrumental in the development of San Diego State University's new four-year degree program in Hospitality and Tourism Management which is set to begin this fall.
