Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., has been sold by Busch Properties Inc. to Xanterra Parks and Resorts. Xanterra is the country’s largest park concessioner with the National Park Service, with lodges in the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Zion, Crater Lake, Death Valley, and other National Parks. Xanterra is owned by Denver-based Anschutz Co.
The 422-room Kingsmill, Xanterra’s first resort on the East Coast, offers groups a 17,000-square-foot conference center; three championship golf courses and an executive, nine-hole course; a full-service spa and fitness center; and a 15-court tennis center. The resort also has six restaurants and a marina.
