Four meetings industry icons were inducted into the Convention Industry Council’s 2011 Hall of Leaders on June 21 during America Meetings Week in Baltimore.
The Hall of Leaders, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the meetings, conventions, exhibitions, and travel industries, is an elite group of leaders whose initiatives and energy have shaped the industry. The four inductees into the Convention Industry Council Hall of Leaders 2011, from left: Sandy Angus, chairman, Montgomery Worldwide, a holding company with multiple interests in exhibition and business event production (nominated by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events); Cliff Wallace, managing director, Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (nominated by the International Association of Assembly Managers); Fay Beauchine, president, Business Loyalty, Carlson Marketing (nominated by Site); and Christian Mutschlechner, director, Vienna Convention Bureau (nominated by the International Congress and Convention Association).
