On January 8-11, 2012, more than 3,300 meetings professionals overran the San Diego Convention Center, area hotels, the Gas Lamp district, and pretty much every corner of the city as they learned, listened, networked, feasted, imbibed, boogied, and stuffed their minds full of new ideas and strategies they can use to make their meetings and events more effective and productive. At the opening reception sponsored by and held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, entertainment included ethereal music played by musicians running their hands over horizontal harp strings that stretched far beyond the stage that mesmerized the crowd.
